It's that time of year again - It's cherry blossom time!
Luckily for us, Hong Kong International Airport has gone to the trouble of planting a little forest of them in Tung Chung.
To get there:
Come out of Tung Chung MTR and walk across the square towards the Ngong Ping 360 cable car. Cross the road and look for Tat Tung Road park. Enter the park and walk straight through the middle and out towards the bridge. Don't follow the park to the right. Note there is an excellent Chinese hotpot place in this park called Hidden Heat. Well worth a visit after a hard day cherry blossom hunting. There is also a CNY flower Market in this park over the Chinese New Year period.
Take the stairs up the bridge and turn left at the top. Take the stairs down and proceed ahead and to the left of the bike path towards the roundabout. Follow the road around and cross the next bridge over the sea. The cherry blossom is at the end of this road on the right.
